Central Park West

The reimagining of a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment in a luxurious Neo-Renaissance building on Central Park West. While the clients loved the stunning views of the park and reservoir, the space had been stripped of its pre-war character by a previous owner. Our clients enlisted 2Michaels to restore the home's original charm, and we quickly bonded with them over our shared passion for New York history and pre-war architectural details. We collaborated with Ann Krusl and contractor Charles Ramdass on the transformation. Our primary focus was maximizing sightlines throughout the home and reallocating square footage to create a stately yet practical home worthy of its iconic address The Kitchen: To accommodate the clients’ love for cooking and entertaining, we combined the narrow existing kitchen with a family room. This created a show-stopping, dine-in kitchen with graceful proportions that comfortably accommodates their large family and friends. The Primary Bedroom Suite: We dedicated significant effort to enhancing this suite. A luxury walk-in closet was cleverly carved out of an awkward hallway, and the mundane bathroom was transformed into a spa featuring both a steam shower and a large soaking bathtub. The Living Room: This space was enhanced with a new marble fireplace and a shimmering bar, perfect for entertaining.
